In 2012, a depiction Acadia National  park will be featured on Maine's entry for the America the Beautiful Quarters program.

ACADIA NATIONAL PARK OVERVIEW

Whether you like tide pools or high mountains, Acadia National Park has something to offer you. Established as a national park in 1919, the park includes mountains, an ocean shoreline, woodlands and lakes. It is home to 40 different species of mammals, including squirrels, chipmunks and deers.
