Surcharges from the sale of this coin were to be distributed to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund to assist the Fund's efforts to raise an endowment to be a permanent source of support for the repair, maintenance, and addition of names to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Characteristics

The obverse design features a section of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, with an outstretched hand touching a name, and the National Monument and a tree in the background.

The reverse features three medals awarded during the Vietnam War.
